One loss to Morgan Park keeps this team from receiving the recognition they deserve. The single loss of the season was played in Morgan Park, a part of town that is not particularly cosmopolitan. When I interviewed Coach Hastings he said that loss kept the '71 squad from being considered on of the best teams ever. Led by 6' 10" Como Pontliana with forward Larry Potter and guard Paul Taylor.
